Scheduled to stay 3 nights. We arrived late on the first night. Woke up to find a bed bug crawling on top of the bed. We caught the bug in one of the hotel room plastic cups and took down to the front desk. The assistant manager was not there at the time so we left it with the lady at the front desk. This stay was connected to a timeshare so when we returned from the presentation that had changed us to a different room. The assistant manager was sorry for what had happened, paid for our clothes to be laundered but I couldn't get past the thought of bedbugs so we ended up cutting our stay short. It's a very busy time of year so no other vacancies in surrounding hotels. I cannot say enough how nice the staff was to help us. But even with that said who wants to take the risk of bringing bed bugs home, not to imagine the cost to get rid of them! Our stay was November 10th-13th but we left on the 11th.

We stayed at island drive lodge in pigeon forge on the night of March 9, 2017. We only were at the hotel that night because we woke up and we're getting ready the next morning and saw two bed bugs walking around on the bed. We called for the manager to come see them, while we rushed to pack our things and get ready to get out of there. It took her 20 minutes to get to the room (331) to see them. She didn't apologize or kill the bugs or anything, she just told us to go and get a refund. I went to the front desk to get my refund and the front desk person argued with me about the refund. I told them I wanted money to put my clothes in the dryer to kill the bed bugs before I put them in my car and they refused that. We stayed elsewhere and woke up with our bodies covered in bedbug bites ( which I have pictures of as well as the bugs).

6/14/2019 We were ate by bedbugs at the Island Lodge as well. Told the staff and they did nothing. Packed our things and went to stay at Westgate resort with some family that was also in the area for a wedding. After a week of being home we saw like 2. Then after time passed there were a few more. I got spray and had just brought a brand new house full of furniture when we moved to our new house. After just a few weeks we had a problem that came home with use from The Island lodge. As soon as we returned I called the health department so that they could get on it. They didn't even bother to call me back after multiple tries to contact someone. After we were infested a man called. He went there and said the room was beyond filthy from a health department stand point but they had a brand new 2 beds and bedding. I told him they had to cover their butts and nothing was new when we were in that room a month before they decided to call me back. We had to get rid of a house full of new furniture. My new California king and 2 Living rooms full of furniture and all the kids new stuff plus all of our clothes, pillows and all. I spent almost $2000 just to get rid of them out of our home. It ruined my life. Never stay there. Remodeled or not. Don't take the risk.
