Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We rented this room on 4/3/2017 through 4/10/2017. After the first night our Driver, whom sleep in the room, awoke with bits all over his body. He informed us after confirming they were bed bug bites. We then contacted them at 2:18pm on April 4th of 2017 to inform the managers. Econolodge politely stated they would "take care of the problem when he is out of the room." They then told us they would refund all seven days of rental, which we paid up front. Management was nice and professional. Though bed bug at that level of infestation makes us believe this can't be their first complaint.
