Within 24 hours of my July 18-19, 2016, overnight stay at this motel (currently named Quality Inn, formerly named Econo Lodge), bites appeared and worsened on my body from my ankles all the way up to my face; I counted 70 bites. Patterns of clusters and lines of bites were evident. By July 22nd I was in such distress that I went to Urgent Care, where they prescribed a 5-day course of Prednisone plus Benadryl tablets and Cortisone cream. My strong allergic reaction to the bites was exacerbated by my suppressed immune system due to a rheumatoid arthritis drug. I filed a formal complaint with Choice Hotels Customer Care, who tried to intervene with the motel management but they were unresponsive. When I called the motel, I was told that other people have stayed in that room since and have not had a problem. Their management appears not to understand how bed bug bites manifest - timing of bite reactions or feeding pattern of the bugs. There is no doubt based on my itinerary that I got the bites at this location. They need a professional exterminator.
