I stayed at Days Inn for 1 might (1/5/17) and was awakened in middle of night with bites and itching. I found 2 bedbugs in the bed and 1fell off my clothes into bathroom sink. I took photos and caught two and wrapped in a paper towel. I informed the manager (DK) the next morning and requested my money back. He said he would request inspection of room and would get back to me by Wednesday. 1/11/17. When I did not hear back from him I called him on Friday 1/13/17. He said that no bedbugs showed up in inspection. He was very nonchalant about the situation and said he could not honor my request for a refund. I had continuous itch and welts on my body for a week and can still feel the effect. I still have the evidence. I do research and have stayed at that location a number of times as it has been convenient for me. Too bad Days Inn losses a good customer as well as others who will be informed by mouth and throughout the Internet.

Stayed one night the day before our cruise (12/22/17) Later the next day my legs started itching but I didn't think too much of it because we were so busy boarding the ship and what not. Finally the next day, after scratching and complaining to my husband, he said he's itchy and got bumps all over too. Shortly after, my kids started complaining. Since we noticed right after staying at the Days Inn, I'm positive we were all bitten by bed bugs. In hindsight, the room smelled like rotting fruit (something I've read is a tell tale sign) and was masked over by the smell of bleach. Probably an attempt on housekeeping's part to hide the stench. Needless to say, the hotel management denies that room 148 has bed bugs (claims they had it inspected) and we will never stay there again if departing on another cruise. Calling the Health dept to report as well.

I stayed one night. Night of 6 October 2019 in room 220. I got up with bites in the middle of the night and moved to the other bed. I was bitten more while in the second bed. The management said they'd do something. I'm still waiting to speak with the manager.

1. January 27-28, 2020 Woke up in the morning, mom found a bedbug. Mom noticed bedbug bites along her arm. When I got home, I noticed clusters on my left arm. 2. Reported to front desk. She said she’d let the manager know; wrote it down in her notebook (I doubt she’d even let the management know. If she does/did, then management probably wouldn’t care since I’ve read plenty of reviews on travel sites about it). My biggest downfall was never reading the reviews. For such a bad experience in a low-down hotel, it shouldn’t have costed me more than $100, but it did - $131 to be exact. I should’ve asked for a refund, but like I mentioned earlier, the staff probably wouldn’t even bother. Now I’m freaking the heck out for fear of it spreading into my home.
