Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On Sept 23 2017 at 1730 Eastern Time, I went into Days Inn to book my room. Went into room 217 and 15 minute later my friend noticed a huge bed bug on the couch. We took a picture and went downstairs to report it. The hotel agent shown no empathy and told us he can give us a double room for same charge. I stated I would like a refund and called Booking to get refund back.

We spent one night 9/7/18 at this Days Inn. In the morning, we discovered a bedbug on our comforter. The owner was given the bedbug in piece a plastic we found. There was an apology, but no offer to refund or make accommodations to us besides offering to move us to another room (we were checking out anyway). We cut our vacation short and spent 3 hours at home washing/drying/vacuuming/showering etc.
