Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On June 21st, 2016 I was awoken at about 6am being bitten, as I am allergic to the bites. I quickly jumped out of bed and whipped back the sheets. I found a bug just where my back was on the bed. I took a picture and put the bug in a cup and brought it down to the staff. What next ensued was a nightmare. They took everything I owned and put it in the dryer for over 3 hours and shrunk and destroyed everything. Then, even with the bug, they brought someone in to "check" the room and deemed they found no evidence of bedbugs. They had someone in the room that very night. As of September 2016, still no reimbursement of damaged clothes. This is a much much shortened version of the story. They accused me of bringing the bedbug and placing it in the room myself. If a full report is needed I can provide the 2 page account of what happened with pictures.
