There have been multiple infestations at this complex and management does not take a serious attempt at extermination the problem, we reported an infestation 3 weeks ago and have yet to see an exterminator, one showed up on 11-11-11 but management did not tell us about it, management keeps finding ways to delay the process and the city is not much help. Most of the tenents here are immigrants who are afraid to ask for city intervention and are taken advantage of and the manager is a habitual liar who hides behind their legal department...

Right before check out I found a larger sized bed bug and a little redish brown mite walking around on the bed. I reported to front desk. Lady at front desk came to look at it with a very poor and rude attitude saying it was just a "beetle" while she quickly ran for a tissue and got rid to the bug before any questions or examination. She also started to tell me in an annoyed tone that you cannot see bed bugs! I could not believe that somebody working at a hotel would be so ignorant to what a bed bug was. At the time I did not notice any major bites on me so I did not think anything of it and just checked out. 3 days later I started getting a huge reaction of bites all over. I did researched which stated that bed bugs could have delayed reactions. I went to doctor to confirm the bumps as bed bug bites. I have over 100 bites on my legs, arms, chest, neck and back. I've already got in contact with three people working for Holiday Inn (2 in Garland and 1 corporate) and all did not seem to take my report seriously. I am still waiting for Senior Manager to get back to me on the issue. It is unacceptable of hotel staff treating guests this way. Since the front desk lady did not give proper attention to the issue, I cannot say for sure if any bed bugs from the hotel followed me home in my luggage. Still have bites all over me and do not think they will be going away anytime soon since they are all over!
