Checked the bed and mattresses when we arrived. No bites the whole time we were there. As we were about to check out, noticed an adult bedbug crawling across the bed. bagged him and reported the incident to management. They have called an exterminator. Very quick and courteous response from the management.

There was bed bugs all underneath the base boards. Myself and my boyfriend both went to the doctor and she said they were bed bugs. We went back to the cabin and sure enough there they where. Managment could care less just really wanted us and the situation to go away.

10/1/11 We checked in after hours and had diner in the cabin. Afterwards,our 4-year-old son wanted to sit in bed and watch a movie, within 30 minutes he came to tell me something was biting him and I noticed swollen red bumps on his legs. We inspected the bed and found numerous bugs and cast. They were in the downstairs bed and on the sleeper sofa and in the upstairs bedroom. It was very late so we had to call the answering service and FINALLY got someone to come out and confirm that they were bed bugs. When then talked to Miranda in management who offered us a different cabin. We explained that we would not be comfortable on the property and would be moving to a hotel. We were told that we could get refund in the morning. I had to stay up ALL night laundering and inspecting everything we brought into the cabin. The next morning after numerous calls and getting the run-a-round we were only given half of our money back and still had to pay for a new place to stay. We were told that the bugs were in fact body lice and not bed bugs, but in my opinion the photos/videos I have can prove otherwise. I have asked for the pest company report, but it has not yet been provided to us. I have also spoken to the General Manager, Susan who refuses to give us a full refund. I even offered to pay the cleaning fee for the few hours that we were there. Susan refused to give me the name of the property management company and would only give me an email address for the director. Sherwood Forest Resort RUINED our vacation and cost us a lot of extra money and a lot of worry.

We stayed in Pinecrest and found bedbugs...we reported it to management and even picked a few of them up and took them to the front desk but they assured us they the creatures were "stink bugs". A few months later, we have an infestation in our house. I understand that there is a bedbug epidemic, but common, to have someone tell you that your establishment has bedbugs and do nothing about it!!!!

Checked into hotel around 830pm on 4/1/2011. Saw bed bug on comforter around 12:20am and reported immediately to management who refunded our money. We left immediately.

After checking in on 12/23/10, my son had a few bites. I thought they were from rolling in the snow on Xmas day. Two days after Xmas, he came upstairs with a live bed bug, and his body covered in bite marks. They sent the cabin mgmt. to cabin with exterminator. They said the bugs were limited to one room. That is not possible. My daughter found a dead bug in her bed the morning we left. There is a severe infestation in that cabin. Tennessee Dept. of Health does not regulate bed bugs. They do not care. Renters, beware. The cabins in Baskins Creek are infested with serious amounts of bed bugs.
