My wife, myself, and our two young children (6 & 11) stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on April 7, 8, & 9, 2012. On the first day, we all noticed a rash on our legs. We figured that I must be heat rash or perhaps a reactio to chlorine used in the pools. The next two days the rash spread to our legs, chests, backs, buttocks, groins, ets. We figured once we got home and showered and back to the cooler temperatures, all would be well, but that was not the case. Last night, after suffering a burning sensation on my legs, I went to the ER at our local hospital. The doctor diagnosed scabies, and perscribed permethrin cream for my entire family. I called Mandalay Bay, and am expecting a call back from their "security" department, with whom I am going to file a report. I did speak with their Risk Management department and advise them.

I stayed at the Siegel Suites at 455 E. twain. I was covered in welts and bed bugs. I lifted the mattress and was shocked a what saw crawling in massive bunches. The bathroom has cock roaches. When I complained the manager would not refund my money, would not find me another room and told me that if I didn't like it I could leave. I slept the night with my girlfriend and my service dog on the street. In my opinion this entire building should be closed by the health department.

I had this identical thing happen. we stayed in the room for 3 day, then I noticed the toilet rim full of dried feces. they moved us from the room to an other, but we had stayed there 3 nights. I had begun breaking out with small bumps on my arm on the second day we were there. I had to go to the doctor to get medication to help to clear. I reported this to the manager, sent an email on my return, but barley got an apology. this was Jan. 5-9, 2012.

Stayed 2/28 - 3/2 in room 12-826. Discovered over 40 bites on my left forearm and 3 on my right wrist. Filed a complaint and they say they will exterminate the room. Pretty annoyed at how call was handled by customer service. There wasn't any surprise or sympathy - I guess this is routine for them. Truly excited about the expense to have my house inspected to see if they hitched a ride back and just praying they didn't as I hear that it costs thousands to eliminate them. Supposedly I am to hear back from their Risk Management team and hopefully they will handle it appropriately. More to follow

I and my husband check in at the Harrah's Las Vegas February 7th 2012 checked out February 10th 2012 We were in a room with double queen beds my husband was complaining about itching but we never thought much into. When we arrived home that evening of the 10th we both had skin irritation on our bodies, my husband had an abundance of BED BUG BITES and rash that covered upper part of his body and some now on the lower part. His first visit to the doctor the doctor said that he had allergic reaction to the bites and gave in medication, that didn't bring any ease so he went back a second time and the doctor's report is that it looks more like BED MITES!!! This is disgusting. We came to the hotel for business purposes while my husband worked I hung out in our room if I left it was to go get something to eat, out of the 4 days we stayed 2 of those days I was in my room when housekeeping came in I watched her clean she never changed the linen and that should be done daily. People shouldn't have to deal with this type of pain and suffering and yes the hotels should be held liable, they bring in too much money for rooms to be infested with Bedbugs or mites. Our visit at this hotel has been the worse ever, we'll never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone not even an enemy.

We flew in on Thursday, February 9. I first noticed a bite on Saturday, February 11, but didn't think anything of it (never had a bed bug bite before!). I noticed a few more as the vacation went on. We left on Monday. A few days later, I could see five total painful bites on my hands and arms. They swelled up and itched like crazy! I'm so glad there were only five!!! After reading about how badly other reporters of bed bugs were treated when calling the hotel, I decided not to bother. I'm just glad they're finally not itching anymore. Now I'm waiting for the big red bumps to go away away so I won't have to be embarrassed when I wear my brand new engagement ring!! I haven't gotten bitten since I got home so, luckily, they didn't come back with me.

We stayed at Excalibur for the SEMA convention 10/30/11 – 11/4/11. The last day of our stay (as we were getting ready to leave – we were already packed!) we found a HUGE live bed bug in our towels. Our infant son was riddled with bites but until then we didn’t know why. When we called the front desk, they sent up a security man who was less than empathetic. He actually got on the phone to report the incident to someone else and told the person on the other line that “he found the incident to be strange”…WHAT? As if we put the live bed bug there? As if we went and purchased it or picked it up along the strip just to plant in our room for our personal gain? My husband and I were LIVID! We have stayed at Excalibur many times during the SEMA convention but will not stay there again. NO APOLOGIES, NO EMPHATHY only questions as if we were criminals. We do have video and very clear pictures of the huge insect in room 10204.

checked in room on 11-3-2011 on 11-4-2011 woke up with about 20 to 30 bites on my upper body after a another nite of getting more bites on my body I informed the office the bites and was made to leave the office by security and was told they didn't want the bed bugs to be transported form my room to the office.the manger came to the room and told me there was no trace of bed bugs in the room but removed the couch in my room with a new one.after five days of pain and suffering from the bites I went to the hospital and was told that the bite marks was bed bugs but wrote I had scabies. the pattern of bites resemble beg bugs traits after leaving hospital I returned to hotel and gave hotel office the paper work I was giving by the hospital stating I should be giving a new room and that the room that I had is hazardous to live in when it was now known to be infested. I was told that they could not change my room because there was no one in to change my room. I had no other place to go so I was forced to sleep in a infested room to onlly get more bites plus I have children that live with me. the room has the the cocking along the walls and traits of it been treated before. the. manger also told me he himself had treated the room before.at the time of this posting im in the room still getting bite up by the bed bugs. i feel like dying because I have no place to go and must stay in a infested room and the office acts if they don't care because if they acknowledge it they will be held liable for the bed bugs and their range. why would u take out a couch out the room and give me a brand new couch if there was no problem with the room?

It was a trip to attend continuing education, and now has cost me an additional $2000 to have my home treated. Definitely will not return to Las Vegas.

“bug bitten, depressed and worried about infestion” we were initially pleased with the hotel ... it looked clean, smelled clean. even the casino did not smell of smoke. we were given room 344. the beds look fine so we didn't bother to lift the sheets to investigate. we were to excited just to be in las vegas. the bite marks showed up a couple of days after we got home from our flight. they're ugly and very depressing to look at and they haven't improved at all. the numerous bites are all over my stomach and behind. we're just hoping and praying that we didn't bring any of those bugs to our home. if any of monte carlo's management people happen to read this, please do something about the problem. we were so happy having the vegas experience then this happened. now i'm too afraid to go on another trip. every morning, i keep checking myself for new bites out of sheer paranoia. the physical and psychological results of this trip has been devastating to say the least.

This hotel is disgusting! All six people I went with were eaten alive by bedbugs. They upgraded us to Tower 2 but that was all we received. We were brushed off like it wasn't a big deal and never even received an apology. They said there was nothing they could do for us and told me to do what I had to do. They were so uncaring and there's a possibility we brought them home wiith us. The Excalibur is infested with bedbugs and it ruined our vacation. You are better off sleeping in a dumpster than this S*&t Hole!

the tennant #4found bed bugs thru wall from apt 2 in jan, 2011, wrote and called agent at least 1 x a week to get exterminater,, had to move and toss all his belongings, feb. nephew rented march 1st apt 1 within 3 days bed bugs were through out every thing he owned, he had to leave 10 days after moving in apt 7 also asked for mgr to help many times he had to leave 8-1-11 being sued for lease as is apt #3 who left a month early as the infestation or roaches made her go to calif. and stay w her mother while husband salvaged what he could he is 63 and retired,,she is in poor health, manager will not respond to any requests for maint. or help w bugs

Hotel not helpful in fact hitel securuty gaurd franklin williams being indegnant to me by saying accirding to paper work from dr. that I only had a rash, he failed to read the enture assesment that clearly states rash due to bug bites. Would not recommend to stay there to anyone they know they have a problem and dont do anything about it.

There were bed bugs in 7023. We claimed to remove it but they took no immediate action. They sent email as follows;

I was sorry to learn about your unpleasant experience with your room. Obviously, we share your concern about anything that may detract from your experience at our property. I have forwarded your information to our Housekeeping Department for investigation and to contact Eco-Laboratories.

We have spent a great deal of time ensuring that our rooms are safe and comfortable for all our guests. In an on going effort to provide the very best products to our guests, we along with Eco-Laboratories regularly perform random inspections of our rooms for pests of any kind. Please rest assured that we take every precaution necessary to offer the very best accommodations.

If you would like to file a claim with our third party administrator, please contact our Security Department and fill out a report via telephone at 702-946-4481. One of our friendly officers will also assist you with information on your next steps for resolution.

After this, we contacted them several times, the response was horrible.

I found an adult bed bug on the pillow where I was laying. I jumped off the bed and immediately called management. By the time they came to room, which was 30 minutes later, the bug had crawled away. They said they would complete a report and get back to me on issue once I sent them pictures of bug, which I took at that very moment I noticed it on pillow. Risk Manager, Richard Smith came in and explained they would quarantine and thoroughly check room. I have not received feedback on status as of yet.

I am quite astonished to read you have not had any reported incidents of bed bugs at the Excaliber. I just read four separate and very detailed accounts by visitors who stayed there in Febraury and March, 2011 who had bed bug infestation in their rooms. My visit to the Hotel/Casino was the first week in October, 2010. I did not know until today what caused the unghastly rash on my pelvis, arms and legs until reading about, and viewing, pictures of bed bugs today on the internet. Bingo, we knew instantly that I had what is referred to as a hypersensitive reaction to bed bug bites. I'll tell you I never wish to re-live that moment again. It took almost two weeks for the wounds to heal. I stayed at the Planet Hollywood in January and had no such issue.

We had a bed bug incident in the summer of 2010. Security came up, took pictures, apologized and gave us a different room. We thought we would get a free buffet, or some kind of comp, but got nothing.

When we got home we received a letter from Station Casinos risk management team, asking us what we wanted in compensation. I politely asked for some free nights in the future.

It's now almost Feb. 2011, and the have never responded. They never even acknowledged they received our response.

I stayed in Room 604. The place is pretty unmaintained. When I slept, I kept waking up to bites. I thought it was only me, since the place was very dirty, finally I couldn't sleep. I left the mattress not to find one or bed bugs, but a colony of bed bugs. One of the most disgusted scenes I have ever seen.
Security came, took pictures, a guy said I wish they take care of this problem, they keep ignoring it. Stay away from this hotel at all cost. The only reason I stayed there was because I had work down town, but I would rather drive than staying in this hotel.

I had over 70 bites on me. Was told that it was bedbug bites. They told me to put all my belongings in garbage bags outside, and if someone went through them or took anything, oh well. No chemical treatment to apartment. Wound up having to throw out everything, move and start over. To this day a year and a half later, every time I feel an itch I freak out that it is a bed bug bite. That was the worst itch. They wouldn't even let the neighbors know the units were infested. Management said they knew that most buildings had problems - not just apartments, but the buildings. Was awful. Could not move out fast enough. Called channel 13 on them to expose them.

Moved into apartment that had been vacant for 6 months, on 5-30-2010, and on 6-22-2010, woke to find a bed bug on me. Found several others in my bed. Reported immediately to the apartment complex. The next week, I had to move everything back out in black platic bags, prepare for fumigation by their Pest control company. Now they have charged me for the fumigation, which was due immediately. Now, I am reporting that I have seen a bed bug on the ceiling in the same bedroom that they seem to be isolated in. I have not moved back in this master bedroom since I found the bugs. If there is 1 left, there are more. The aprtment complex states that I brought them with me, as they were found in my bed...which I did throw away...out of fear. They were found in my bed, because they live off of human blood...and that is why they are called bed bugs! If I would have brought these, there would be infestation in everyhting I own. Was isolated in the 1 room at the time, and now since I have found another bug, after 2 months later.....they are still here!! I need some assistance, as this is not my fault, and I have this in my lease, that tenant to prep home for fumigation, which I did. Took me 3 full days and nights to repack everyhting I had just moved in there, into black plastic bags to set in the intense heat outside for apprx. 12 hours. I then had to move everything back in, and put away. I couldn't have help with this preparation for fear that a friend would then bring them to their home, so this was done by myself......and THEY ARE STILL HERE!!!!! If I found one, they ARE NOT GONE. And 1 was found again 9-5-2010......over 2 months later!!
