Beware renting from Sidewalk Management! This apartment complex, managed by Sidewalk Management/Sidewalk Enterprises of Venice, California, experienced a SEVERE bedbug infestation for over 6 months. Early efforts by Orkin to treat the infestation were unsuccessful. Sidewalk Management did not immediately contract a new pest control company. They did not inform all the tenants of the infestation. And they allowed the bedbugs to spread to over half of the units in the building before they finally decided to fumigate the building. All of the tenants were forced to move out for four days/nights while a new pest control company tented the building. By way of compensation, tenants were informed that Sidewalk Management's only legal responsibility was to discount everyone's rent the equivalent of four days prorated. If you want a rental company that will take care of you when your building gets bedbugs, then don't rent from Sidewalk Management.
