Noticed BIG Centipede, spiders, insects. We booked a one night stay at Country Inn Sonora for Friday Jul 2, 2010 so that we could get to Yosemite early next morning. We checked in, left our bags and went out for dinner. We came back and thought of making coffee. To our utter disbelief, the coffee maker had used coffee from the previous stay. When we told the manager, she said that we used the coffee and left it in there and that we are lying to her. There was dust all over the closet hangers, the AC/ heater unit, TV, the beds, everywhere. There were dead insects on the carper. The next morning we saw a big centipede on the bed. We informed the manager who told us to go and check other cheaper hotels and started shouting at us that we were lying about all this. We asked her to go and check the room for herself. Obvioulsly she wouldn not go. They charged 20 bucks for extra person instead of the 10 bucks which is the normal rate of the hotel. The Manager, who is probably one of the owners, is extremely rude and unprofessional. I went to write a review on tripadvisor and found many others who have had similar experiences with this hotel. Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at this hotel.
